Description:\
This project takes the example of Jiangsu Province on the eastern coast of China, which is economically developed and rapidly urbanising, with a significant multifunctional transformation of agricultural space. The project quantitatively evaluates the production function, living function, ecological function and landscape cultural function of agricultural space by establishing a multifunctional index system for agricultural space. Spatial regression analysis is conducted in conjunction with changes in the quality of agricultural space habitats to explore the spatial dependence of habitat quality on the multifunctional transformation of agricultural space, and to provide guidelines and references for the future direction of agricultural space development.\

This study examines Jiangsu Province, a rapidly urbanizing and economically developed region on China's eastern coast, as the research area, where agricultural space has undergone significant reconfiguration since 2000. This study investigates the multifunctional transformation of agricultural space in the province from 2000 to 2020 and its impacts by analyzing changes in agricultural land, excluding areas designated for urban, industrial, mining, and construction purposes. Habitat quality is also assessed as a key factor in this transformation.\

At present, the required data are below:
land use data at 100m resolution for the three periods of 2000, 2010 and 2020, which are mainly divided into arable land, forest land, grassland, urban, industrial and mining construction land, rural settlements, watersheds, and unused land, among which land use types. The spatial data needed in the quantitative evaluation of agricultural spatial multifunctionality include NDVI data, night light data, population density data, traffic data, soil data, DEM data, etc.; the statistical data needed include GDP and component data, urbanization rate data, etc.

Selection of a suitable spatial regression model to analyse the spatial coupling between multifunctional transformation of rural space and changes in habitat quality. By identifying the transformation of the dominant functional type of the image elemnt or selecting the change of the functional value as the explanatory variable (X), and the change value of the habitat quality of the image element as the explanatory variable (Y), to explore the influence law and weight coefficients. The more significant spatial regression model was selected for regression analysis by LM test and robust LM test.\

Expected results:\
The overall trend of multifunctional development of agricultural space is multi-functional, and the functional values of different dimensions are gradually becoming more balanced. Habitat quality will improve in areas with a high level of multifunctional development or a more balanced development of agricultural space; in areas with a medium level of multifunctional development and a rapid increase in the value of the subsistence function, ecosystem services will be degraded and habitat fragmentation will occur, and habitat quality will decline; and habitat quality will be more or less unchanged in some single-function-dominated areas.\
